Error of Madness is a documentary and fine art project centered on internationally recognized artist, educator, and activist Linda Sibio. Over more than five decades, Sibio has developed a singular body of work spanning drawing, painting, performance, and teaching—transforming lived experience into an expansive artistic practice that resists easy categorization and invites deeper questions about perception, language, and image.

Directed by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Gordon Clark, the project combines large-scale portraiture with cinematic storytelling to create an intimate artist portrait that exists between documentary and visual art. Rather than illustrating diagnosis, the work focuses on the evolution of an artist’s visual language and how experience becomes form.
